Whether you loved it or hated it, Season 3 of the Netflix series Emily in Paris was on everyone‘s radar this holiday season. For some, it was met with criticism the moment it came out and many viewers thought it was too shallow, predictable, and lacked substance. Others, absolutely loved it. For us, we found Emily in Paris to be a very pleasant and entertaining watch.
If you have watched the two previous seasons you probably know that the show follows Emily, an American woman in her twenties who moves to Paris for a job. Despite the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and language, Emily remains optimistic and determined to make her mark in the city of lights.
This post is not meant to contain spoilers so we will only say that things get more compicated for Emily Cooper both in life and at work.
The show is filled with extravagant fashion, picturesque Parisian scenes, and romantic comedy. It's light, fun, and a great escape from the hardships of 2022.
Emily in Paris has become a fan favorite show in a very short amount of time. One of the main reasons for this is the strong female friendships that are showcased throughout the series. From Emily and Mindy to Emily and Sylvie, we get to see different types of female relationships, each unique and special in its own way. These relationships keep our attention and make us root for the characters as they navigate the complexities of life in Paris.
The friendship between Emily and Mindy is the anchor of the show. They support each other through thick and thin, and often provide much-needed comedic relief. Their dynamic is one of genuine care and understanding, and it's clear that they truly have each other's backs. Watching their bickering and banter is always entertaining, but it's their loyalty to one another that really stands out.
Another friendship that is worth noting is the one between Emily and Sylvie. They start off on shaky ground, but eventually become unlikely allies. It's interesting to witness their relationship evolve from a professional one to a strong friendship. They are both strong-willed and independent women, and it's inspiring to see how they overcome their differences and come together to support each other.
At the end of the day, Emily in Paris is a guilty pleasure show. It's not going to change the world, but it's enjoyable and a great way to relax after a long day. So if you're looking for a light and entertaining watch, I definitely recommend giving Emily in Paris a try.
Emily in Paris has some of the most fashionable characters on TV, often seen strutting the streets of Paris in stylish heels. But for those days when comfort is key, the characters could easily swap their heels for the classic espadrille. Espadrilles are comfortable and stylish, making them perfect for exploring the city. Plus, they come in a variety of colors and styles, so you can be sure to find the perfect pair for any outfit. They’re also incredibly versatile, so you can dress them up for a night out or dress them down for a casual day with friends. So if you’re looking for a more comfortable shoe option for your next Parisian adventure, espadrilles are a great choice.
Just for fun, we mathced each female character of the show with the pair we thought they would wear on a sizzling day in Paris
For Emily, we would go for something boldand fun, like the ribbon laced suede sandals from our new collection for Spring/Summer 2023. It will released this March so stay tuned for more!
For Sylvie, we picked an eternally chic pair of Leopard print slides.
For Mindy, the Rose sequined espadrilles because honestly we cannot imagine her without some glitter under any circumstances.
For Camille, the Herringbone Espadrilles are a great match to her effortless and romantic style.
For Sophia, a sexy pair of Gladiator Sandals would complement her statuesque figure.
Last but not least, for Madeline, we picked a super comfy pair of Olive Slides, l’m sure she can’t wait to slip into these as soon she’s out of the office!
These were our picks, we love playing dressing up and we hope you had fun with us!
